Indwelling of the Holy Spirit
“Helping Others Recognize the Whisperings of the Spirit”, Ensign, November 2009; “One reason we are encouraged to pray and read the scriptures every single day is that both of these activities invite the Spirit into our homes and into the lives of our family members.” — Vicki F. Matsumori
John 15:7; “If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.”
Romans 9:8-10; “So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God. 9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. 10 And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.”
2 Corinthians 1:21-22; “Now he which stablisheth us with you in Christ, and hath anointed us, is God; 22 Who hath also sealed us, and given the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts.”
There are dozens and dozens of verses in the New Testament describing how and when the Holy Spirit resides inside of the believer.
Believing as the Mormons do that the Holy Ghost is a still small voice to listen out for or the Holy Spirit only visits when you’re doing “holy” things is blasphemous.
We invite God into our hearts by expressing our need of a Savior and asking God to forgive us. It’s at that time He comes and lives in our hearts and as Jesus told His disciples will come and take up permanent residence! John 14:16-26.
Remember what it was like before you became a Christian?
The instruction this Mormon woman gave to her audience is something only an unsaved person would say, not knowing we can’t invite the Holy Spirit into the lives of others – only that person can do this. What would you do next if sitting down and reading scripture isn’t just the right thing to do to invite a good feeling into your home? Then what?
Pray for those who’ve read her message and pray for her!
With Love in Christ;

It is difficult for new Christians, marginal Christians, and others to discern the truth in articles such as you are studying here. Unlike the blantant lies in Smith’s translation of the Egyptian hieroglyphs, it is not easily seen.
Many people fall into Mormonism innocently reading articles such as these. They “sound” Christian but are far from it. Mormons start people off like this and later they find out what lies are woven in and around these articles. They are not Christian articles or writers.
The god of Mormonism is not the God of the Bible. How to know? Read the Bible and see the verses that are mentioned above and more. Then you’ll see the True Jesus, True Father, and True Holy Spirit. The biblical God is the Triune God. Three persons of One God.
