January 24 – Aside from the perfect announcement that God came in human flesh to pay the price for sin, the New Testament is mainly about the doctrines of God.  In it we find how to conduct ourselves even through the simple structure of church life.  1 Tim. 3:12 says; “let the deacons be the husbands of one wife, ruling their children and their own houses well”.

January 23 – The Promise.  God explicitly told Abraham the promise of his seed would come through the lineage of Isaac.  Gen. 17:19; “And God said, Sarah thy wife shall bear thee a son indeed; and thou shalt call his name Isaac: and I will establish my covenant with him for an everlasting covenant and with his seed after him”.

January 22 – Everlasting burnings.  What is it?  Who goes to everlasting burnings and why?  Isaiah 33:12, 14.  “And the people shall be as the burnings of lime…the sinners in Zion are afraid; fearlfulness hath surprised the hypocrites.  Who among us shall dwell with the devouring fire?  Who among us shall dwell with everlasting burnings?”
