We look forward to an intellectually honest debate that is filled with respect for each other. Somehow when Mormons come to our site we’ve experienced rude behavior and name calling which is surprising considering they’ve called themselves a Christian.

I am a Christian. My son is not and is married to a sweet lady who is Morman. I love them dearly. Bought her a bible for Christmas. How do I love her and not offend her. She can’t understand how people say Mormans are not Christians if they believe in Christ. My response was I thought you didn’t believe Jesus was Divine.. She didn’t answer that. I do not want to hurt or alienate her. Help me to know how to handle our difference.

Sounds familiar doesn’t it? We get called “anti-Mormon” all the time because we question and ask about the inconsistencies and lies within the past and present leadership of the LDS religion.
I am sure you can find anything you want to find when viewed in the light of Mormon reasoning and justification…. try this one on;
“Yes, there were some disturbing events in the church history that were unfortunate. There were untruths told by leaders of the church even from the prophets themselves but they have all been men, and man will make mistakes. Failed prophecies were for a reason. They were to challenge the faithful in the very last days of their faith. If you go back all the way to JS and go from prophet to prophet the failed prophecies and untruths have gotten fewer and fewer because God has been perfecting his church and it is increasingly getting closer to the perfect true church making way for the 2nd coming to finally occur”.
