August 4 – Matthew 24:24-26; ‘For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect. Behold, I have told you before. Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not.’

Belief in Christ in 551 BC
Jacob 1:8; “Wherefore, we would to God that we could persuade all men not to rebel against God, to provoke him to anger, but that all men would believe in Christ, and view his death, and suffer his cross and bear the shame of the world; wherefore, I, Jacob, take it upon me to fulfil the commandment of my brother Nephi.” – 551 BC

General Conference October 2011, Part 2
Matthew 24:36; “But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.”
Twice a year the Mormon Church holds their conferences as a time for members to hear the words spoken by the General Authorities and be inspired for another six months.
Many of the conferences are filled with the same mundane message that seems as if they’ve just been recycled with a few things changed to fit in with the times. This time around wasn’t much different from that scenario with the exception of a couple things that stood out for me.
