The Spirit of Elijah, by Definition, Is the Holy Ghost as His Directing Influence Guides Those Who Participate in Family History and Temple Work [2.6] ““The Spirit of Elijah” is a manifestation of the Holy Ghost. [2.6.1] Latter-day Saints often talk about “the Spirit of Elijah.” This phrase refers to the workings of the Holy Ghost upon individuals that creates an excitement and desire “to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the children to the fathers” (D&C 110:15) and to be involved in the work of family history. Elder Russell M. Nelson of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles explained: “What is sometimes called the Spirit of Elijah [is] a manifestation of the Holy Ghost bearing witness of the divine nature of the family. Hence, people throughout the world, regardless of religious affiliation, are gathering records of deceased relatives at an ever-increasing rate” (in Conference Report, Apr. 1998, 43; or Ensign, May 1998, 34).”

‘But Jesus said unto him, Follow me; and let the dead bury their dead.’ Matthew 8:22
Today we’re looking at an LDS site filled with quotes on what the Church’s leaders have said about temples. We’re comparing a few of the things they’ve said with God’s word, and what Jesus has told us.
You can read the full list at Temple Quotes. Tomorrow we’ll be checking out statistical facts about the cities for their new temples because the choices are quite bothersome. Here we go! (more…)

September 26 – The Greatest Commandment Is To… Matthew 22:36-40 “Master, which is the great commandment in the law? 37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. 38 This is the first and great commandment. 39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. 40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.”

“The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: But the word of our God shall stand for ever.” — Isaiah 40:8
Doctrines of Salvation 3:224 “At the command of the Lord, however, Moroni also sealed up the greater things in this vision and also the interpreters-which were the same “two stones” had by the Brother of Jared-so that this vision should not be made known even in our day among the Gentiles, in the day of their wickedness; it could not be revealed “until the day that they shall repent of their iniquity, and become clean before the Lord.” So we today do not have the fulness of the account written and sealed up by the Brother of Jared and again sealed by Moroni. This part of the record the Prophet Joseph Smith was forbidden to translate. We have, then, received but the “lesser part.”” — Joseph Fielding Smith (more…)

Gospel Doctrine, Chapter 25, p. 480 “THE PROPHET JOSEPH SMITH. Brother Woodruff, in the course of his remarks, made the assertion that Joseph Smith was the greatest prophet that has ever lived, of whom we have any knowledge, save and except Jesus Christ himself…Today there is not another man, perhaps, who has figured in religion, whose name is so wide-spread among the nations, as that of Joseph Smith.” – Joseph F. 2019 April General Conference Stats

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has seen its fair share of changes throughout time.
We’ve seen prophets who were all but silent in their tenure, which of course means Joe Smith and Brigham Young who were both endowed with mouths like no others.
We’ve also seen LDS prophets who barely made a peep. The one in charge today, (Russell Nelson), is anything but quiet.
Mr. Nelson’s priorities are shaping up to be quite the scene. He seems to be hung up on everyone using the name of the Church properly. This scenario began last year and has continued on through 2019.
Last year we also saw a dissolution of the Visiting Teaching Messages, and the rearrangement of their priesthood. This year they’re backtracking on excluding kids of gay people, and now we’re witnessing record numbers of people leaving. The first thing that came to mind was, ‘oops’. Apparently the Mormon god didn’t foresee the ramifications of what it’d mean to exclude innocent children from his kingdom.
This is what happens when you try to hide evil. Eventually truth prevails.
Here are the numbers for 2019. As you’ll see, the only news that remained the same was the downward trend of their ‘inspired works’.
Above all else, please, pray that those who are actively involved, will stand up, walk out, and accept the Jesus of the Bible as their true Savior!
With Love in Christ;
Michelle

Romans 1:25 “Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.”
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has tried once again to pull the wool over everyone’s eyes. They’ve gone to extraordinary lengths using Gladys Knight in a full scale musical production to pat themselves on the back for allowing blacks into the priesthood 40 years ago. (more…)
Roots of Mormonism

Proverbs 22:6; “Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.”
In my beloved Utah there’s a natural (albeit strange) phenomena called ‘Pando’,
It’s a small forested area with one big problem. The entire 106 acre Aspen forest grew from one root system. This means if one dies, they all die. There are no new saplings growing from dropped seeds. What trees there are, has grown by the sheer force of the underground root system spreading across the land. Scientists discovered it in the ‘60’s and have determined it’s about 130 years old.
In addition to Pando, a somewhat similar phenomena has taken over the Wasatch Front that originally took root on the eastern seaboard. Nepotism in the Church has been a long standing problem to everyone but those who belong to this human form of Pando. Making matters worse is the force behind the root system – blasphemy.

Isaiah 7:14; “Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.”
With Easter right around the corner, we thought it’d be a good time to point out a few interpretations of His birth provided by the LDS Church compared to the word of God!
As you meet with your Mormon friends and loved ones in the upcoming glorious season, remember the following things are what Mormons believe about Him. Don’t pass up the opportunity to share the truth, and show with demonstrative examples what God says!
Mormonism’s New Prophet, Russell Nelson, and Celestial Polygamy

Nauvoo Roots of Mormon Polygamy, 1841 – 46, p. 9; “…According to the doctrine of celestial marriage, a woman who was “sealed” (married) to a man in a special religious ceremony was united to him and their children, not only for “time”—until death—but for eternity where they eventually could become gods. Implicit in the revelation was the requirement that a man and woman must accept the “principle” of taking plural wives—known as the law of Abraham—in order to gain the highest afterlife, the celestial kingdom. Just as Abraham, David, Solomon and other Old Testament patriarchs took “many wives and concubines,” the patriarchs and elders of the restored church could attain “crowns of eternal lives in the eternal worlds” and have descendants as “innumerable as the stars.” A woman’s salvation thus depended on entering into a polygamous relationship with a man of high status in the church, because such men were thought to have made the greatest progress towards godhood on earth.” – George D. Smith
In the next 24 hours the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will officially announce that 94 year old, Russell Marion Nelson, Sr., will be the 17th Prophet/President of the Mormon Church.
If someone wanted to look around for notable info on this elderly gentleman, you’d be sure to come across articles about his work as a cardiothoracic surgeon for which he gained a lot of attention and respect from the medical community worldwide. His achievements in the medical field were long, and varied before he was called to the hierarchy of the LDS Church.

Rejecting Jesus by debasing Him. Zechariah 11:12-13b; “And I said unto them, If ye think good, give me my price; and if not, forbear. So they weighed for my price thirty pieces of silver. 13 And the LORD said unto me, Cast it unto the potter: a goodly price that I was prised at of them. And I took the thirty pieces of silver, and cast them to the potter in the house of the LORD.”
Matthew 26:14-15; “Then one of the twelve, called Judas Iscariot, went unto the chief priests, 15 And said unto them, What will ye give me, and I will deliver him unto you? And they covenanted with him for thirty pieces of silver.”

Doctrinal Commentary on the Book of Mormon, 4 vols. [Salt Lake City: Bookcraft, 1987-1992], 1:234; “…Christ’s rise to the throne of exaltation was preceded by his descent below all things. Only by submitting to the powers of demons and death and hell could he, in the resurrection, serve as our exemplar of a saved being, one who had placed all things beneath his feet. “I am Alpha and Omega,” he said, “Christ the Lord; yea, even I am he, the beginning and the end, the Redeemer of the world. I, having accomplished and finished the will of him whose I am, even the Father, concerning me- having done this that I might subdue all things unto myself- retaining all power, even to the destroying of Satan and his works at the end of the world, and the last great day of judgment.” (D&C 19:1-2.)” – Joseph Fielding McConkie and Robert L.
