Jesus’ Promises Kept
I’m here today to let everyone know how intoxicated I am by being around those in the body of Christ. I admit that I look at the church of Jesus Christ through rose colored glasses. And I’ll be the first to admit that when I think of the Christian people it’s easy for me to overlook the flaws each denomination and individual person really has. I am more inclined to treat them in the same manner a parent has for a favorite child.

As I was checking my email today I came upon an article about Marie Osmond’s recent temple re-marriage to her 1st husband Stephen Craig. According to Mormon doctrine this means they once again qualify and are worthy to become a god and goddess. Their temple marriage and sealing ensures their exaltation and eternal life as they create and organize their own world, and procreate spiritual offspring who will then inhabit the world they created.

Nauvoo Missions Report 2
This had to be one of the most successful mission trips that we have had to date! While we spent many hours passing out tracts to the Mormon people we were also blessed by being able to spend time with the young Mormon missionaries and having the opportunity to witness to others as we took tours at the various ‘tourist sites’. The thing that touched me personally was the number of non-white Mormons that attended this year’s celebration of Joseph. As I handed out hundreds of tracts I couldn’t get Moses 7:22; Abraham 1:27; and the other references to the curse of Cain out of my head. I can only imagine that they are feeling the shame that I once did as a Mormon of not being white and delightsome.

D&C 87:1-6; “Verily, thus saith the Lord concerning the wars that will shortly come to pass, beginning at the rebellion of South Carolina, which will eventually terminate in the death and misery of many souls; 2 And the time will come that war will be poured out upon all nations, beginning at this place.3 For behold, the Southern States shall be divided against the Northern States, and the Southern States will call on other nations, even the nation of Great Britain, as it is called, and they shall also call upon other nations, in order to defend themselves against other nations; and then war shall be poured out upon all nations.4 And it shall come to pass, after many days, slaves shall rise up against their masters, who shall be marshaled and disciplined for war.5 And it shall come to pass also that the remnants who are left of the land will marshal themselves, and shall become exceedingly angry, and shall vex the Gentiles with a sore vexation.6 And thus, with the sword and by bloodshed the inhabitants of the earth shall mourn; and with famine, and plague, and earthquake, and the thunder of heaven, and the fierce and vivid lightning also, shall the inhabitants of the earth be made to feel the wrath, and indignation, and chastening hand of an Almighty God, until the consumption decreed hath made a full end of all nations.”

Teachings of the Prophet Joseph Smith, pg. 157; “Daniel in his seventh chapter speaks of the Ancient of Days; he means the oldest man, our Father Adam, Michael, he will call his children together and hold a council with them to prepare them for the coming of the Son of Man. He (Adam) is the father of the human family, and presides over the spirits of all men, and all that have had the keys must stand before him in this grand council…The Son of Man stands before him, and there is given him glory and dominion. Adam delivers up his stewardship to Christ, that which was delivered to him as holding the keys of the universe, but retains his standing as head of the human family.”

NAUVOO: THE “MECCA” OF MORMONISM
Imagine if you will that you are in a small town in the middle of America. It has been built on a hill with wheat and corn fields that surround the area as it lies on the lazy banks of the mighty Mississippi River. The town has one grocery store, one or two small family restaurants and one street light. Main Street is about eight blocks long, and at one end of town you’ll find the only gas station. It sounds like any one of the hundreds of small towns in America, yet there’s a hitch.
