Speaking against Polygamy brings Damnation
Journal of Discourses 5:204; “President Heber C. Kimball said in 1855, “The principle of plurality of wives never will be done away” (Deseret News, November 7,1855.) Kimball also said, “You might as well deny Mormonism and turn away from it, as to oppose the plurality of wives. Let the Presidency of this Church, and the Twelve Apostles, and all the authorities unite and say with one voice that they will oppose that doctrine, and the whole of them will be damned”. – Heber C. Kimball, Salt Lake City, October 12, 1856
John 14:6; “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me”.
The only One we owe our devotion to is Christ Jesus! As you can see in their deplorable statement they’ve declared a false prophecy while threatening the followers that if you don’t follow them you go to hell even though they’ve proven themselves to be false prophets.
Again even their leadership has publicly admitted all of them will be damned by not practicing polygamy. I wonder how the local bishop on up to President Monson would answer this if asked publicly what their thoughts are. To denounce polygamy is to denounce Mormonism…I feel bad for these men who can’t or won’t stand up for their own beliefs.
I don’t know of a Mormon who doesn’t proudly embrace what their ancestors have done, yet at the same time here they are turning their backs on everything they stood for.
