Joseph Smith, Followers of
Presidents of the Church, pg. 3; “The followers of Joseph Smith, known as Latter-day Saints, and now numbering in the millions, located in all parts of the world, accept this vision as the greatest event in modern history. This vision restored God to the world!”
John 14:16-18; “And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; 17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. 18 I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.”
If the LDS statement today is true then the biblical passage listed here is a lie. Jesus either lied to us or the translators were totally wrong. Can you just imagine the odds of either one of those scenarios?
And if this one passage is translated incorrectly then how many other passages that correspond with it in the Bible have been translated incorrectly as well? Do you know?
Where in the Bible does it say God needed restoring?
