Worship of Jesus Allowed
2 Nephi 25:29; “And now behold, I say unto you that the right way is to believe in Christ…wherefore ye must bow down before him, and worship him with all your might, mind, and strength, and your whole soul; and if ye do this ye shall in nowise be cast out.”
Worship of Jesus not Allowed
Gospel Truth, 1:135; “We Worship the Father… In an official interpretation of Moses 1:6, the First Presidency (Joseph F. Smith, Anthon H. Lund, And Charles W. Penrose) said: ‘But the sole object of worship, God the eternal Father, stands supreme and alone…’ Who is the sole object of worship?… President George Q. Cannon taught: ‘…We know also that our Father in Heaven should be the object of our worship… He will not have any divided worship. We are commanded to worship Him, and Him only.”
Jude 1:24-25; “Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy, 25 To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen.”
If you’re Mormon which do you believe?
Inconsistencies like this is why I never felt comfortable going to the Lord. I’d read my Bible in private to not draw attention from the leaders who I felt would chastise me for my inordinate interest in learning more about Him.
In Mormonism Jesus is nothing more than an older brother you know little about. His name is used to draw in converts and that’s it. Your main focus as a Mormon is to know about Joseph and how to do works for the dead. What a comfort it’s been from the time I’ve accepted Him into my life! No other thing in my life has brought such clarity and peace like we see in Jude 24-25.
The wait and work is done my friend! If you’ve wondered what it would be like allow me to tell you it’s better than you’ve imagined.
