The following false teaching of the LDS Church is riddled with half truths, precocious lies and sufficient evidence to show heresy.
We’re taking a close look at the first half of this First Presidency Message to show Christians how what they’ve said doesn’t line up with the word of God. Let’s get started shall we?
“STATEMENT OF THE FIRST PRESIDENCY
REGARDING GOD’S LOVE FOR ALL MANKIND
February 15, 1978
Take notice of the date because it’s going to prove they’re false teachers and lied about what they believe.
Based upon ancient and modern revelation, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints gladly teaches and declares the Christian doctrine that all men and women are brothers and sisters, not only by blood relationship from common mortal progenitors but as literal spirit children of an Eternal Father.
The apostle Paul told us there’s no such thing as a “pre-existence” when he wrote his first letter to the church in Corinth.
1 Corinthians 15:45-47; “And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit. 46 Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual. 47 The first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is the Lord from heaven.”
This would also mean the Mormon god endorses incest. Never in all my worst nightmares come true could I ever imagine the God of the Bible engaging in such a thing.
The great religious leaders of the world such as Mohammed, Confucius, and the Reformers, as well as philosophers including Socrates, Plato, and others, received a portion of God’s light. Moral truths were given to them by God to enlighten whole nations and to bring a higher level of understanding to individuals.
Nowhere in the Bible are we told that God is in the business of enlightening whole nations and bringing them to a higher level of understanding. This isn’t the Masonic Lodge!
God gave His Law through Moses, gave guidance and warnings to the Israelites through His prophets and then came here to earth in the flesh to show His children that He keeps His promises. He then provided further instructions to us through His apostles, but in no way, shape or form did He ever shed special light or knowledge to Socrates, Plato, Mohammed or Confucius. These men were false teachers taking the truth and turning it into a lie! Romans 1:20-25.
The Hebrew prophets prepared the way for the coming of Jesus Christ, the promised Messiah, who should provide salvation for all mankind who believe in the gospel.
That part is true so why don’t they believe this?
Consistent with these truths, we believe that God has given and will give to all peoples sufficient knowledge to help them on their way to eternal salvation, either in this life or in the life to come.
Wrong! The time to accept Him and know Him and believe God sent His Son is now! It’s not tomorrow, it’s not next week and it’s most certainly not after we die! 2 Corinthians 6:2. It’s now! Paul even asked the young Corinthian church why they were baptizing dead people if they didn’t even believe in the resurrection – 1 Cor 15:29.
Hebrews 9:27 clearly tells us there are no second chances: “And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment”.
We also declare that the gospel of Jesus Christ, restored to His Church in our day, provides the only way to a mortal life of happiness and a fulness of joy forever. For those who have not received this gospel, the opportunity will come to them in the life hereafter if not in this life.
John 14:6; “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”
Where in that verse does it say we must go through the LDS Church to find happiness, a fullness of joy or salvation?
Again, there are no second chances!
Our message therefore is one of special love and concern for the eternal welfare of all men and women, regardless of religious belief, race, or nationality, knowing that we are truly brothers and sisters because we are sons and daughters of the same Eternal Father.”
Here is when the timing comes in…
They wrote this in February of 1978. At that time blacks still weren’t allowed to hold the priesthood and that means anyone of color, not just the African Americans. Why they offered salvation to my family back in the late 1800’s is a mystery to me…with that aside, they did NOT extend any special love or concern at all for anyone that wasn’t white and delightsome.
