Brigham to be President
Journal of Discourses 5:219; “…as for our enemies, they have cursed themselves with all the curses they can bear; and the cursing that are on them they never can get off, neither can those who sustain them. The Church and kingdom to which we belong will become the kingdom of our God and his Christ, and brother Brigham Young will become President of the United States. [Voices responded, “Amen.”]” – Heber C. Kimball, Salt Lake City, September 6, 1856
Romans 3:13-18; “Their throat is an open sepulchre; with their tongues they have used deceit; the poison of asps is under their lips: 14 Whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness: 15 Their feet are swift to shed blood: 16 Destruction and misery are in their ways: 17 And the way of peace have they not known: 18 There is no fear of God before their eyes.”
Wow – their words speak for themselves don’t they?
You know, in any sermon delivered by a good pastor you might hear the phrase “the enemy”, but the enemy is always Satan not other people. That’s one of the problems in this sermon by Mr. Kimball.
The other problem is his false prophecy that comes in with Kimball declaring Brigham Young will be POTUS. That won’t and can’t happen when Jesus is King!
Is the Kingdom of God the United States and just who does the Kingdom of God belong to but God? Why is it called the Kingdom of God and not the Kingdom of Joseph or Brigham or Mormons?
What cursings did their enemies place upon themselves?
