Jesus Married to Mary Magdalene?
I’ve had countless Mormons tell me that Jesus was married. The missionaries at my front door a week or so ago was just the latest example in a long line of those telling me such a tale.
When I ask for biblical proof they always refer to Mary Magdalene who saw Jesus at the tomb when He was resurrected. They tell me that Mary referring to Jesus as “Master” is proof because it was a custom back then for the wives to call their husbands by this title.
Let’s look at what the Bible has to say!
Mary Magdalene, Judas Iscariot, and the Apostle Peter are a few of the people in the Bible that referred to Jesus as “Master”
I have to ask…was Jesus married to Peter or Judas?
John 20:16; “Jesus saith unto her, Mary. She turned herself, and saith unto him, Rabboni; which is to say, Master.”
Matthew 26:25; “Then Judas, which betrayed him, answered and said, Master, is it I? He said unto him, Thou hast said.”
Mark 9:5; “And Peter answered and said to Jesus, Master, it is good for us to be here: and let us make three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias.”
