Broad is the Way
The Three Kingdoms of Heaven; “Joseph and Sidney saw the terrestrial kingdom of heaven. People in the terrestrial kingdom were good people on earth, but they did not have faith in Jesus and did not obey all of the commandments.
Some of the people in the terrestrial kingdom did not believe the gospel when they heard it on earth but did accept it after they died. These people may see Jesus, but they cannot live with Him or Heavenly Father.”
Matthew 7:13-14; “Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: 14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.”
This terrestrial path doesn’t sound so bad if you’re not interested in obeying God or following Jesus here on earth. Then there’s the added bonus of not being eternally pregnant!
Why does the Church teach that this is part of heaven when Jesus explicitly said otherwise?
“People in the terrestrial kingdom were good people on earth, but they did not have faith in Jesus and did not obey all of the commandments.”

How very sad that this false doctrine of the LDS is leading the people so far astray from God. Firstly, there’s the legalism of having to obey the commandments, Secondly, there’s the false notion that there are these levels in heaven. We can’t keep the commandments, that is why God sent his Son to keep them for us and then shed His precious blood instead of us as payment for our sins. By us trying to earn our way, is telling that Jesus sacrificed His life for nothing.
There’s also this idea that there are ‘good’ people on earth. No one is good but God Himself. (Jesus said this when someone called him a ‘good’ teacher. “18 And a ruler asked him, “Good Teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life?” 19 And Jesus said to him, “Why do you call me good? No one is good except God alone.” Luke 18:17-19)
“All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” Romans 3:22-24
The whole concept here that the Mormon’s have is devastating to their faith when they find the truth in the Bible alone. At death, there is NO second chance. “And just as it is appointed for man to die once, and after that comes judgment,” Hebrews 9:26-28 THAT’S IT-NOTHING AFTER DEATH! PERIOD.
NOT one shred of this Celestial Kingdom, etc. stuff is in the Bible. Read it and see for yourselves. God gave us ONE guidebook for our lives and not many, certainly not the BoM, certainly not the LDS prophets.
Amen sister!
Devastating is a good way to phrase this conundrum they’re in. The whole concept that good people will make it to heaven is just another lie Satan perpetuates through various generations that have gone by. Like I said on FB – my neighbor is one of the nicest people you’re ever going to meet. What a sweet, sweet woman she is! But her being nice is only good for here on earth. It doesn’t give anyone a free pass into heaven or give them the opportunity once they die to accept Jesus.

COMPENDIUM: HERE YOU CAN SEE BLANTANT LIES BUT MANY TIMES THE LDS WRITINGS ARE MUCH MORE SUBTLE. THEY CAN LOOK LIKE THEY ARE “CHRISTIAN” AND THEREFORE DECEIVE MANY PEOPLE. STAY WITH THE NON-LDS VERSION OF THE BIBLE ONLY.
