Gospel Delivered by Whom?
1835 D&C page 117, verse 4; “…I have sent forth the fullness of my gospel by the hand of my servant Joseph…”
1 Peter 1:25; “But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you.”
Oh that Joseph, he was a busy, busy man. Wherever did he find the time to rewrite scripture and come up with the idea that it needed revising in the first place?
As you study Mormonism you’ll find there wasn’t a stone or doctrine of the Lord left unturned that Joseph didn’t go in and twist it to his own standards. The first place he started his onslaught was no less than the Bible. Placing doubt in the mind of believers opened the door for heresies to enter in.
Thank you for the godly warning. We need to be diligent regarding error outside and inside the church. God bless you:)

Thanks Eliza for your kind words! God bless you as well!
I want to thank you personally for being a brave voice in a dark world – Spiritual Formation isn’t exactly allowing God’s word into your heart and mind as the apostles intended their messages of hope to be.
While being silent and waiting on God is ALWAYS a good thing – the underlying current can lead to a misunderstanding of exactly what that entails.
This is why expository teaching is so important (IMHO). I believe that if we don’t take the script apart word by word and study it diligently we’re a sorry bunch. We must look at all of what God says by digging deep and compare it with other scriptures already found in His word.
When we take a snippet here and there from God’s word and incorporate it into our own belief system we’ve created yet another cult.
Walter Martin once said cults are the unpaid bills of Christianity and darlin’ I have to say that I couldn’t agree more!
God bless you Eliza!
