That’s right – the Mormon god told Moses there are no other gods…
Moses 1:6; “…but there is no God beside me, and all things are present with me, for I know them all.”
But then the Mormon god told Abraham there are lots of gods…
Abraham 4:27; “So the Gods went down to organize man in their own image, in the image of the Gods to form they him, male and female to form they them.”
This Mormon god is fickle indeed. He’s had Alma teach people there are no other gods…
Alma 11:44; “…everything shall be restored to its perfect frame, as it is now, or in the body, and shall be brought and be arraigned before the bar of Christ the Son, and God the Father, and the Holy Spirit, which is one Eternal God, to be judged according to their works, whether they be good or whether they be evil.”
Yet here he told Joseph there are lots and lots and lots of gods…
D&C 132:37; “Abraham received concubines, and they bore him children; and it was accounted unto him for righteousness…they have entered into their exaltation, according to the promises, and sit upon thrones, and are not angels but are gods.”
And here we have the Rock Solid truth that never changes in His word…there are absolutely no other gods…
Isaiah 43:10-11; “Ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD, and my servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me. 11 I, even I, am the LORD; and beside me there is no saviour.”
If there were any other gods at all to be found most certainly the God of the Bible would know don’t you think?
Just imagine being a Mormon with scripture like this. Can you imagine being a teacher in this type of system? What would you do?
How do you convince your students that Mormon scripture is true when it’s so contradictory?
