Conference Report, October 1928: pgs 99-100, Third Day Morning Meeting; “The Lord created all things for a purpose. Nothing has he created to be destroyed, but that all things might endure forever… The Lord intends to save, not only the earth and the heavens, not only man who dwells upon the earth, but all things which he has created.” – Apostle Joseph Fielding Smith
2 Peter 3:7, 13; “But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men. 13 Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.”
Revelation 21:1; “And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.”
Unfortunately the teachings and doctrines of Mormonism speak out of both sides of their mouth. Their leaders have historically taught God never had the power to create anything and here they’re saying God created all things. So which is it?
We see from scripture the earth will be destroyed by fire and God will create a new heaven and earth.
Furthermore, those who aren’t found in the Book of Life are cast into the lake of fire – Revelation 20:15.
