New Era. ‘Truths Most Worth Knowing,’ August 2014; “This is what I have come to teach you who are in trouble. He will step in and solve the problem you cannot solve, but you have to pay the price. It does not come without doing that. He is a very kind ruler in the sense that He will always pay the price necessary, but He wants you to do what you should, even if it is painful.
I love the Lord, and I love the Father who sent Him. Our burdens of disappointment, sin, and guilt can be laid before Him, and on His generous terms, each item on the account can be marked “paid in full.” – Boyd K. Packer
John 3:16; “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life”.
Galatians 2:20-21; “I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. 21 I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain”.
Exactly what problems will this god of Mormonism step in and solve? This man’s counsel is obtuse, lacks merit and void of direction.
According to Mr. Packer the price of the Mormon’s sin won’t be paid in full up and until they pay for it. The Book of Mormon says that grace comes in after all you can do – 2 Nephi 25:23. This my friends is heresy. It pains my heart to even think of it, but it’s true.
The Mormon people have been tricked into believing a lie and the shameful thing in this example is how he’s lied to the kids. Jesus warned that it’d be better if a millstone was hung around the neck of people who do this – Mark 9:38-48.
My questions;
Why believe in Jesus?
What did He die for?
Why did God command a price of blood for the sins of man?
Have you given any blood for your sin and if not; why?
