General Conference, “Come Join with Us,” October 2013; “And, to be perfectly frank, there have been times when members or leaders in the Church have simply made mistakes. There may have been things said or done that were not in harmony with our values, principles, or doctrine…There Is Room for You…To those who have separated themselves from the Church, I say, my dear friends, there is yet a place for you here.” – Dieter F. Uchtdorf
Deuteronomy 4:8-9; “And what nation is there so great, that hath statutes and judgments so righteous as all this law, which I set before you this day? 9 Only take heed to thyself, and keep thy soul diligently, lest thou forget the things which thine eyes have seen, and lest they depart from thy heart all the days of thy life: but teach them thy sons, and thy sons’ sons.”
This is the same speech where Mr. Uchtdorf told people to doubt their doubts.
Why?
Why would anyone, especially a ‘man of God’, tell parishioners to doubt themselves instead of investigating all things? Acts 17:11
He just told us that leaders of the Church had been wrong and taught wrong things they shouldn’t have and then went on to tell us to doubt ourselves.
Who’s in the wrong here?
Specifically. what ‘things’ is he referring to?
How do we know that the things they’re teaching now are correct?
How is the LDS Church the only true church on earth if they’re teaching incorrect principles?
