Evidences and Reconciliations, p 282; “The Church ever operates in full light. There is no secrecy about its doctrine, aim, or work. It is open to all men who will conform to its requirements. Access to the temples, where the most sacred ordinances are performed, may be had by every member of the Church who lives the honorable life expected of faithful Latter-day Saints. No promise is exacted of any Church member except to live as nearly as may be in conformity with the teachings of the Lord Jesus Christ. The activities of the Church, in all departments, are sacred, not secret.” – John A. Widtsoe
Eternal Marriage Student Manual, p 38; “Keep your covenants and you will be safe. Break them and you will not.” — Elder Boyd K. Packer
Romans 12:1-2; “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. 2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”
If you’re LDS I have a few questions today.
Do you realize how much Jesus loves you? If so, what’s your favorite verse telling you so?
Do you realize how precious you are in His eyes? Isaiah 43:4
Do you know how He yearns to be with you each and every day? 1 John 3:1
Did you know He wants to celebrate your victories and mourn with you in your losses? Ps. 139:10, Isaiah 41:10, 49:15
Have you ever had anyone in your life who’s never lied to you?
If not, may I remind you Jesus can fulfill this role? Titus 1:2, Heb. 6:18, Num. 23:19
I pray you see yourself as He does. He sees you as a precious child who deserves the very best with every day being a celebration of your life. Everyone knows what it feels like on his/her own birthday. Somehow, every year that day just seems different. Sometimes the older we get the sparkle is less special, so on your next birthday remember Jesus wants to celebrate your life with you. Jeremiah 31:3
And each day as the clock ticks away, stop and thank Him for your life. I do this twice a day, every single day. When and if I see the clock telling me it’s a loved one’s birthday, I stop and pray for them. – Col. 1:3
Here’s how it works;
As everyone knows, December 25th is when we celebrate Jesus’ birthday, so whenever I see the clock telling me it’s 12:25 I stop and thank God for His Son and my salvation. I do the same for my husband, kids, friends, and loved ones when the clock marks their special days. If I know your birthday it means I’ve probably prayed for you at least once that day.
When we’re in Him, we’re free to celebrate our lives and the lives of those around us, and most certainly free to trust in Him and His word.
The lies from the LDS Church are nonstop. For every truth, commandment, or situation there is in the Bible, the Mormon Church teaches the exact opposite. They’ve been doing this since its inception, and as far as we can tell, there’s no end in sight.
Conformity to any religion is of the devil. Religions are manmade institutions. Now before I get a ton of e-mails chastising me for such a statement, let me explain. I’m fully aware churches are good, and I always advocate people get involved in their local churches, but churches are filled with imperfect people who make mistakes. The type of conformity I’m referring to is total conformity, aka blind faith.
On the other hand, the body of Christ, aka Christianity, is not a religion. Following Jesus is a lifestyle where He’s always giving to us and conformity to His will is the only conforming we need to abide in.
If you’re LDS, renew your mind dear ones! Paul said to present your bodies as living sacrifices to Him. We do this through fellowship, serving others and openly worshiping Him. He wants to be the One who celebrates your birthdays with you and heal your hurts. True healing is only achievable through His love for you where no secrets are exchanged behind locked doors.
There aren’t any threats, real or implied, with Jesus. There aren’t any secret handshakes or oaths to remember. There are no secret names or unusable prayers to recite to gain entrance into His presence, now or in the future. If secret societies are undesirable then why, pray tell, is the Church doing what it does?
When you’re a Christian, you get to be you, just like you were on the day you were born. If it’s not your birthday today, give yourself an early gift and see yourself through His eyes. You need His forgiveness, so be sure to repent. You need His love, so believe what the Bible says. And most certainly you need peace, and only He can give the peace you so desperately need today. – John 14:27
