Ephesians 4:14; “That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive”.
The false prophecy above comes courtesy of the Church’s 12th prophet, Spencer W Kimball. He’s best known for his book ‘The Miracle of Forgiveness’ which most ex-Mormons view as the most dismal message of hope given by anyone. According to Kimball the thief on the cross didn’t receive forgiveness and neither did Mary Magdalene.
Let’s take a look at what he said;
‘Much of the major growth that is coming to the Church in the last days will come because many of the good women of the world will be drawn to the Church in large numbers.’
Not sure if there’s a typo in there or what, but either way there’s something inherently wrong with this theory.
Mankind doesn’t come to God because they’re good. They seek out and submit to the Lord because they realize they can’t keep doing what they’re doing without Jesus. Besides all that the Bible tells us that no one is good! – Romans 3:10
