Skepticism, Self-Sufficiency and Denying Jesus

Improvement Era, Vol. 50, No. 11, General Conference, ‘Faith in Christ,’ November 1947, p 768;  “Skepticism, self‑sufficiency, atheism, a denial of the divinity of Jesus the Christ, have supplanted belief, and lapses from the moral standards are but the natural result of the breaking down of that faith.” – Albert E. Bowen

1 Kings 18:21; “And Elijah came unto all the people, and said, How long halt ye between two opinions? if the LORD be God, follow him: but if Baal, then follow him. And the people answered him not a word.”

No other scripture could more aptly fit the situation we see in Mormonism. They’re talking the talk without walking the walk.

They pride themselves on self-sufficiency and make no apologies their Jesus isn’t the Jesus of the Bible, so where does this leave them in light of this LDS apostle’s admonition?
