He will bruise Satan’s head ….. Satan was defeated…but those who choose not to accept Jesus live as if He never hung on that cross 2,000 years ago.

God came down to taste death and experience the same trials we go through as humans. He did this for a number of reasons, but a simple way to explain it to your un-churched friends is that He did it so He can empathize with your earthly trials like hunger, pain, cold, and the everyday anomalies we go through in life.

Mormons are taught a fallacious doctrine that because Jesus came here and was perfect, they should be perfect too. They’ve missed the meaning of Hebrews 2:13 when it says He came here to partake of the experience in being human, and slam them with more guilt for not living up to some unachievable status. Share this verse and explain how Jesus fulfilled prophecy while being fully God and fully man.

The image above is from papyri found in Cairo, known as P46. It’s the opening paragraph of the epistle to the Hebrews. The rest of the papyri contains all of Hebrews and most of the Pauline letters.

Encyclopedia of Mormonism, p 724; “His life was one of moral perfection-he was sinless and completely submissive to the will of the Father (John 5:30; 2 Cor. 5:21; Heb. 4:15; 1 Pet. 2:22; Mosiah 15:2). Jesus is the model and exemplar of all who seek to acquire the divine nature.” – Daniel H. Ludlow
