Matthew 18:6-7; “But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea. 7 ¶ Woe unto the world because of offences! for it must needs be that offences come; but woe to that man by whom the offence cometh!”
There are a couple of things to look at in this false prophecy today.
1.If this claim was true there would be no one who is part ‘Indian’. I know this can’t be a true prophecy after living for a few years on the reservations in Idaho as a child. My father did contract work for the government in Arco and Blackfoot, Idaho for awhile. Going to school there, and living amongst the locals, I learned real quick who was a ‘full-blooded’ Native American, and who wasn’t, as there was a distinct pecking order in the schools at that time.
2.This type of teaching by Smith and subsequent members of the Church is at, or near the top, of what breaks my heart with Mormonism. The pain and silent shame it causes little ones growing up in Mormonism is heart-wrenching.
I clearly remember what it was like growing up in the heart of Utah Mormonism, and not being ‘white and delightsome’. Ironically, I also remember what it was like being chastised for not being dark enough as well. Oh the tangled web men weave…
Each time I’m reminded of these teachings in the BoM and elsewhere, my heart grieves for the little kids who are ensnared in the lies today.
I’m living proof the Lord can, and will save, and heal the hearts of His people! Today, I ask Christians to come alongside us here at the ministry to pray for the children being raised in the lies that God will open their hearts and minds to His truth!
Thanks and God bless!
With Love in Christ;
