The concept of salvation in Christianity is quite simple. You believe in Jesus Christ and you’re saved. Likewise, believing in Christ makes one a Christian, hence the name. If belief in Joseph Smith is necessary for salvation, why aren’t Mormons known by Smith’s name? And why isn’t his name Joseph Christ?
