October 11 – Jesus crucified for sins of the world. Galatians 3:13; “Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree.”
_____
A couple of days ago we read a talk given by an LDS apostle who said Jesus paid for sins in the Garden of Gethsemane. Today we’re looking at their canon telling us otherwise.
Whom do you believe; Joseph Smith, or Russell Nelson?

D&C 21:9; “For, behold, I will bless all those who labor in my vineyard with a mighty blessing, and they shall believe on his words, which are given him through me by the Comforter, which manifesteth that Jesus was crucified by sinful men for the sins of the world, yea, for the remission of sins unto the contrite heart.”
Two men were crucified at the same time and the same place as Jesus the Christ. To be crucified was a common way to execute people, a common way that caused great pain while ending their life.
I do not understand how anyone can think or believe the pain common to a standard execution suffered by so many people would be enough pain to pay for all our sins. It would take more than what many men suffered.
The more was the mental pain that caused blood to sweat out of Jesus while in the garden added to the physical pain on the cross.
