Witnessing Tip of the Day October 25

October 25 – One spirit, or two? Ephesians 4:4-6; “There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; 5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism, 6 One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.”

Luke 11:15-17; “But some of them said, He casteth out devils through Beelzebub the chief of the devils. 16 And others, tempting him, sought of him a sign from heaven. 17 But he, knowing their thoughts, said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and a house divided against a house falleth.”

There are many other verses in the Bible telling us the Spirit of God resides inside of us, and if He does, who could this other ‘spirit’ be Mr. Grant spoke of in his sermon? The only time any other spirit resides inside someone is if that person isn’t saved, which is a result of not knowing Him. The lie Mr. Grant told here should be denounced, and done so straight away!

When sharing this info with a Mormon (or any unsaved person) be sure to show with demonstrative evidence how these passages of scripture work together! A house divided cannot stand beloved!

Gospel Standards, p. 38; “There are two spirits striving with all men—one telling them what to do that is right, and one telling them what to do that will please themselves, that will gratify their own pride and ambition. If we live as we ought to live, we will always follow that spirit that teaches us to do that which is right.—CR, April, 1938: 12.” – Heber J. Grant
