October 4 – God’s Commandments. Exodus 20:13, 15, 17; “Thou shalt not kill. 15 Thou shalt not steal. 17 Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour’s house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour’s wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbour’s.”

Today you’ll want to ask the Mormon you know why God would command Nephi to murder Laban, and then steal the so-called writings from the Jewish temple as they were fleeing Jerusalem, which God specifically told them not to do.
In one fell swoop they broke two of God’s Ten Commandments, in addition to disobeying His direct orders not to leave Jerusalem during the Babylonian takeover.
We’re left to believe that 1 Nephi 3:7 was the Mormon god’s way of putting a stamp of approval on murder and theft.
Also ask them if this means they have to obey all the commandments, and if so, how many are there?

1 Nephi 3:7: “For I know that the Lord giveth no commandments unto the children of men, save he shall prepare a way for them that they may accomplish the thing which he commandeth them.”
