October 6 – John 11:25-27; “Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this? She saith unto him, Yea, Lord: I believe that thou art the Christ, the Son of God, which should come into the world.”
This is just one of the reasons that Jesus was crucified. He claimed to be God and Savior to His people and even with the proof that He could raise people from the dead, they chose not to believe. In no way was Jesus ever married! Ask a Mormon today why the Pharisees were so angry with Him all the time.
“The grand reason of the burst of public sentiment in anathemas upon Christ and his disciples, causing his crucifixion, was evidently based upon polygamy, according to the testimony of the philosophers who rose in that age. A belief in the doctrine of a plurality of wives caused the persecution of Jesus and his followers. We might almost think they were “Mormons.”” Journal of Discourses,1: 346, Jedidiah M.
