December 27 – The Creator’s Visit. Psalms 8:4; “When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained; 4 What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him?”
The fulfillment in Psalm can be seen in Jesus, as the author of Hebrews so eloquently pointed out! The amazing things God has done should give everyone pause as they go through any given day. Let us praise His Holy Name!
Hebrews 2:6-8; “But one in a certain place testified, saying, What is man, that thou art mindful of him? or the son of man, that thou visitest him? 7 Thou madest him a little lower than the angels; thou crownedst him with glory and honour, and didst set him over the works of thy hands: 8 Thou hast put all things in subjection under his feet. For in that he put all in subjection under him, he left nothing that is not put under him. But now we see not yet all things put under him.”
This prophecy can serve two purposes when witnessing to your Mormon friends! 1.It speaks to divinity of Christ. 2.It explains that God alone created the earth. Regrettably, neither of those things are taught in Mormonism.
http://www.lds.org; “Under the direction of Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ created the heavens and the earth (see Mosiah 3:8; Moses 2:1). From scripture revealed through the Prophet Joseph Smith, we know that in the work of the Creation, the Lord organized elements that had already existed (see Abraham 3:24). He did not create the world “out of nothing,” as some people believe.”
