Romans 1:16; “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.”
Ensign, ‘The Faith of the Pioneers,’ July 1984; “The power that moved our gospel forebears was the power of faith in God.” – Gordon B. Hinckley
Galatians 1:8; “But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.”
2 Corinthians 11:4; “For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him.”
At least he admits it’s another gospel. Look at how he takes ownership of the gospel. As Christians we would never claim the gospel of Jesus Christ as our own, we never say it was “our gospel”.

A great article for defining the gospel, can be found at Bible.org. I’m certain you’ll be blessed as I have!
