April 24 – Isaiah 9:6; “For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.”
______
I don’t believe there’s a verse where the Holy Spirit actually praises God, but because the Mormons don’t believe in the Trinity, they seem to believe it is possible. The other problem with this passage is timing. The Holy Spirit told Nephi he’s pleased Nephi believes in the Son of God. How did Nephi know these things in 600 BC?
_____
1 Nephi 11:6; “And when I had spoken these words, the Spirit cried with a loud voice, saying: Hosanna to the Lord, the most high God; for he is God over all the earth, yea, even above all. And blessed art thou, Nephi, because thou believest in the Son of the most high God; wherefore, thou shalt behold the things which thou hast desired.”
Personal Revelations.
Fred – there is no such thing as “personal revelations.”
2 Peter 1:19-21
19 We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts:
20 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the Scripture is of any private interpretation.
21 For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.
I am praying for you, Fred, that the God of all mercies will open your eyes to the Truth.
