April 18 – By their fruits. Matt. 7:20-23; “Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them. Not everyone that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.”

We’re finally at the end of our 16, or 17 points of a true church. The Mormons who write in to us say it’s 16 Points but the official Mormon cards call it the 17 Points of a True Church. Either way, seeing good fruits is always a sign there is activity somewhere. But the real question becomes; what fruits are you producing? If it is grief and strife then we know it is not from the Lord. Over the past few weeks we’ve seen more than a handful of examples of the fruits of the Mormon Church. Not one of these examples of a “true church” lined up with Biblical Christianity. If you read the entire passage in Matthew 7, you’ll see what happens to those who don’t bear the real fruit.
