Dear Brother: Your correspondence with Brother J. Wesley Harmon, a colored member of the Church was duly received … he does not seem to fully comprehend, and which could not be properly taken up without some care and consideration for him and the race to which he belongs. Acts 10:34; “Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons.”
Acts 15:8-9; “And God, which knoweth the hearts, bare them witness, giving them the Holy Ghost, even as he did unto us; 9 And put no difference between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith.”
Romans 2:11; “For there is no respect of persons with God.”
It’s rather ironic how the Church deemed Mr. Harmon as inferior without the capability of fully comprehending scripture, when they clearly missed what God said in this passage. The fundamental error was on the part of the Church, not Mr. Harmon who fully understood what was taking place.
We could dismiss this moment in history if it weren’t for their ongoing allegiance to the racist canon of Mormonism today.
Many people have asked how long I’m going to continue beating the same drum of ‘old news’ about Mormonism’s past racist behavior. My answer: I’ll beat the same drum of ‘old news’ until the Church denounces their racist canon, and repents of their ungodly past. I don’t do this to be rude, rather, I do it because I want to see them saved in the ever loving arms of Jesus!
