June 19 – Our heavenly expectations. Ps. 73:24-25; “Thou shalt guide me with they counsel, and afterward receive me to glory. Whom have I in heaven but thee? And there is none upon earth that I desire beside thee.”

I am constantly amazed how God knew every single thought of man even before they came into existence. He knew what Joseph Smith would write as ‘gospel’ and has provided us with the tools to show Mormons how once again, the teachings of the LDS Church are wrong.

“We expect to have our wives and husbands in eternity. We expect our children will acknowledge us as their fathers and mothers in eternity. I expect this: I look for nothing else. Without it I could not be happy. The thought or belief that I should be denied this privilege hereafter would make me miserable from this moment. I never could be happy again without the hope that I shall enjoy the society of my wives and children in eternity”. Gospel Doctrine, pp. 313-314 – Joseph F. Smith
Isn’t the privilege in the hereafter to be with the Lord?
Well, that’s what you’d think, right? Sadly though, I know I rarely did when I was LDS.
Now that I’m saved, i’m often reminded of Ps. 73:25 and each time I see or hear any Mormon talk about the families are forever plan. I wonder what they’d think if they read that verse!
Psalm 73:25 “Whom have I in heaven but thee? and there is none upon earth that I desire beside thee.”
Nice—That’s a good psalm. I always find comfort in the center of the Bible. Thanks for your ministry. So sorry my phone was acting up, didn’t mean to for the reposts.
Blessings, Melissa
