July 28 – Souls dissolve? Acts 2:27; “Because thou wilt not leave my soul in hell, neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.”
_____
Where in the Bible does it say that our souls dissolve?
_____
Marion Romney, The Worth of Souls, Ensign, Nov. 1978, 13; “The spirits of men, by their conduct in pre-earth life, earned a two-point destiny: (1) the privilege to be tabernacled in a body of flesh and bone; and (2) immortality as living souls. The plan to bring about this two-point destiny provides for (1) mortal birth, through which man’s spirit receives a body of flesh and bone, thus becoming a soul; (2) mortal death, by which man’s spirit and body are temporarily separated—his soul dissolved; (3) redemption of the soul by resurrection—in which the spirit and body are inseparably reunited.”
When he says our soul dissolves it means that the body and spirit are separated. The soul is the Body and Spirit together. Simple.
Well, the whole idea that we had a pre-earth life is utterly false and if that didn’t happen there was no earning of anything. The body is not part of the soul.
