Tip of the Day, July 1

July 1 – Testing spirits requires homework! 1 John 4:1; “Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.”

Here again we receive instruction on how to discern the good prophets from the bad prophets.  We are to test them by checking their words. Does it match up with scripture? Are they credible by historical accounts as well? Today we’ll see that the Book of Mormon has failed the test. According to the National Museum of Natural History, the horse was not part of the scenery of the American continent until the time of Columbus.
