General Conference, ‘Prepare to Meet God,’ April 2018; “As we look at the primary purposes of the Church, they are all based on equality before the Lord and following the culture of the gospel of Jesus Christ. With respect to missionary work, the principal qualifications for baptism are humbling oneself before God and coming forth with a broken heart and contrite spirit. Education, wealth, race, or national origin are not even considered. …The Savior additionally explained that everyone is our neighbor. The Book of Mormon makes it clear …We must be united and equal before God.” – Quentin L. Cook
2 Nephi 5:21; “And he had caused the cursing to come upon them, yea, even a sore cursing, because of their iniquity. For behold, they had hardened their hearts against him, that they had become like unto a flint; wherefore, as they were white, and exceedingly fair and delightsome, that they might not be enticing unto my people the Lord God did cause a skin of blackness to come upon them.”
1 John 4:20; “If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?”
Nothing but the date on a calendar has changed in Mormonism. The same trickery Joseph Smith and Brigham Young tried to pull off, was repeated in the Church’s General Conference in April 2018.
Using a verse from the BoM (4 Nephi 1:17), LDS apostle Quentin L. Cook, told people the BoM clearly showed how God considers all people equal. That verse loosely refers to this, however, the whole narrative of the BoM, does not.
The BoM verse listed above is a clear example of how Mr. Cook has chosen to continue the lies of Mormonism. If they, or even he, believed their god promoted non-racist views, the entire BoM would be tossed.
Don’t be fooled my friends! This is their attempt at rewrapping the same lies to fit in with the latest societal fad. The pretty new bow is a trick.

4 Nephi 1:17; “There were no robbers, nor murderers, neither were there Lamanites, nor any manner of -ites; but they were in one, the children of Christ, and heirs to the kingdom of God.”
Also see:
Alma 3:6, 8; “And the skins of the Lamanites were dark, according to the mark which was set upon their fathers, which was a curse upon them because of their transgression…8 And this was done that their seed might be distinguished from the seed of their brethren, that thereby the Lord God might preserve his people, that they might not mix and believe in incorrect traditions which would prove their destruction.”

These statements,”…following the culture of the gospel…” and “…principal qualifications for baptism…” are of note. Look at the words used here. “Culture” has what LDS meaning? “Principal qualifications” has what LDS meaning?
None of this is Christian. It is purely Mormonism and work-righteous in nature.
By obscuring their meanings, LDS further adds to confusing people. It adds to their ‘Ruling by The LDS Law’. LDS maintains strict control of every facet of Mormon’s lives.
Now, take their mandatory “follow the prophet” statement. Look up “rule of the law” and “rule by the law”. Here’s the difference in Wikipedia:
“…The ancient concept of rule of law can be distinguished from rule by law according to political science professor Li Shuguang: “The difference….is that, under the rule of law, the law is preeminent and can serve as a check against the abuse of power. Under rule by law, the law is a mere tool for a government, that suppresses in a legalistic fashion.”
The result is that Mormons are suppressed and made to follow in numerous laws, regulations, etc. That includes: No free speech. They cannot ask questions. These and other traits are marks of a cult.
Our Triune God of Christianity is completely different. Compare BOM with the Bible only then will you see the difference. God gave His Law of the Ten Commandments in the Old Testament. It shows our sin and acts as a curb to our desires.
In the New Testament, Jesus said,” …this is a New Testament in my blood…” at the Last Supper. This is the Gospel.
LDS says such things as, “…the law of the gospel…”. There is no such thing. It is also not Christian. Contrary to what the LDS twists around, you can research and compare and see what LDS is trying to do.
Thousands of people have already left the LDS and other sects of Mormonism. Take the Bible Challenge for yourself; pick up the Bible in KJV or an easier to read ESV and begin with New Testament. You’ll see what a gift the Good News really is as God speaks to you through His word. Find out for yourself.
