Journal of Discourses 12:338 “It was on this land where Noah built his ark, which was blown by the winds of Heaven away to the east, and landed on Ararat.” – Orson Pratt, Salt Lake City, December 27, 1868
Genesis 5:28-29 “And Lamech lived an hundred eighty and two years, and begat a son: 29 And he called his name Noah, saying, This same shall comfort us concerning our work and toil of our hands, because of the ground which the LORD hath cursed.”
Today and tomorrow we’re taking a quick look at basic Mormon theology. As a child I can still remember how confusing it was trying to figure out why Noah was Gabriel, or that Adam was Michael the Archangel. Noah’s father, Lamech, didn’t live in America, and neither did Noah!
Tomorrow we’re looking at how the LDS story is the total opposite of what God’s word tells us regarding the behavior of the earth’s inhabitants just before the flood. It’s quite shocking to see how far away from truth these men allowed their imaginations to roam.
Remember to pray for those in Mormonism who become easily confused which draws them further away from our Lord. Also be sure to share the true biblical information about Noah with the Mormon you know! For some great info on Noah see GotQuestions.org.
