October 25 –– Only One God Will Be Exalted. Ezekiel 21:26-27; “Thus saith the Lord GOD; Remove the diadem, and take off the crown: this shall not be the same: exalt him that is low, and abase him that is high. 27 I will overturn, overturn, overturn, it: and it shall be no more, until he come whose right it is; and I will give it him.”
Luke 1:52; “He hath put down the mighty from their seats, and exalted them of low degree.”

Mormons have it all backwards. They truly believe God will exalt them at the end, and what they don’t realize is that if you believe this now, you’ll be abased at the end. Share with them how there’s only One God, and only One who is exalted.

D&C 76:53-58; “And who overcome by faith, and are sealed by the Holy Spirit of promise, which the Father sheds forth upon all those who are just and true. 54 They are they who are the church of the Firstborn. 55 They are they into whose hands the Father has given all things— 56 They are they who are priests and kings, who have received of his fulness, and of his glory; 57 And are priests of the Most High, after the order of Melchizedek, which was after the order of Enoch, which was after the order of the Only Begotten Son. 58 Wherefore, as it is written, they are gods, even the sons of God—”
In my ladies bible study we are studying the names of God. This week is El Elyon – God Most High. One of the questions in my homework is “What are your personal thoughts about God as El Elyon”? As a former Mormon I had a lot to say about this. 🙂
He is so much higher and greater than we could ever imagine. He is the One and Only. There is no one above Him, or equal to Him. The things Mormons believe about God and Jesus are completely contrary to what God has said about Himself. I wish Mormons could understand what they’re doing when they choose to believe God is an exalted-mortal man, and that they too can be exalted to godhood. I pray they come to know the One True God before it’s too late.
