January 26 — The Glorious Fall of Adam. 1 Cor. 15:22; “For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.”
_____
Genesis 3:8 has to be one of the most startling verses in all of the Bible. ‘…and they hid themselves from the presence of the Lord…”
Mormons believe the fall of Adam was a ‘glorious event’. They also believe God set them up to fall on purpose, placing Adam in the hero’s seat, for if he hadn’t of sinned they believe none of us would have been born. (another subject for another time!). Ask them why it’d be okay to hide from God. Have they ever tried to hide from God in their own life? God didn’t set them up to fail, nor was this glorious! There was something inside of Eve’s thought life that made her think she could be as great as God and become a god herself. (just like Mormons do today)
Also ask what’s so glorious about death? What about 9/11, the death of a child, or a debilitating disease? Those are just a few of the things the fall brought to mankind.
Praise be to God the real Hero stepped in and made it possible for all of us to have salvation because of His great love and selfless concern He has for us! 1 Cor. 15:22 As soon as you can, share this passage of the Bible with a Mormon! Let them hear the sequence of events that took place so they can put it in context and think about it later during their alone time.

LDS Gospel Topics Fall of Adam ““The Choice That Began Mortality” The Fall was a glorious necessity to open the doorway toward eternal life.” – Ask the Mormon in your life if they think sin is a glorious necessity for our lives.
So, Adam and Eve sinning was a glorious event? But what Jesus did eeeh…not so much.
It’s unreal isn’t it? Why would sinning be okay? Is the 2 yr old pitching a fit because of selfishness okay? Oh, be still my heart…
Joseph Smith altered the Word of God for his own purposes. What is sad is that so many people believed him and followed him. There are many people TODAY, that are still willing to follow false prophets today. Look at some of today’s televangelists. Look at how wealthy they have become because they are able to twist God’s Word into something that suites them personally (Prosperity Gospel) “For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears. And they shall turn away from the truth and shall be turned into fables.” (2 Timothy 4:3,4)
