January 22 — Beginning. Genesis 1:1; “In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.”

Ask your Mormon friends/loved ones if Joe Smith’s definition of the word beginning is acceptable to them personally. He said there’s no such thing as a time prior to which there is nothing. A simple example would be the beginning of someone’s marriage. If someone was married on a certain date, it certainly didn’t exist before that time. Simple explanations from dictionaries will give them something to think about while it takes away any judgmental position from you.

Teachings of the Prophet Joseph Smith, pp. 353-354 “There is no such thing as an ultimate beginning, a time prior to which there was nothing, any more than there ever can be an ending, a time past which there will be nothing. … The intelligence of spirits had no beginning, neither will it have an end. That is good logic. That which has a beginning may have an end.”
Joseph Smith said “that is good logic” (Pgs# 353,354). Since when did God command us to use our own logic to analyze his WORD? “For it is written , I will destroy the wisdom of the wise and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent. Where is the wise? Where is the scribe? Where is the disputer of this world? Hath God not made foolish the wisdom of this world? (1 Corinthians 1:19,20)
Joseph Smith used his own logic and his own arrogance to take apart God’s Word and make it something to his own liking.
It’s tragic how too many people bought into his lies. However, history also shows that many rejected his words (PTL!), so we’re going to continue praying more and more will leave as the internet continues to share the truth on him and other false prophets!
As I’ve always stated, if God can save me, He can save anyone. 😉
