Using a dictionary, define the word ‘change’ with your Mormon friends. Ask if they agree with the definition provided, and then share the references from God’s word, and Joseph Smith’s teachings. Then ask for their opinion on the major doctrinal changes made in the Church about polygamy, and the race issue. It’s not a time to condemn, rather, you’re just giving them something to think about. Remind them as Christians, we weigh all things with the word of God!

Teachings of the Prophet Joseph Smith, p. 308; “Ordinances instituted in the heavens before the foundation, in the priesthood, for the salvation of men, are not to be altered or changed. All must be saved on the same principles.”
The Mormons have made so many changes to their doctrine and yet ,firmly believe that these changes are given by revelation from God to today’s prophet. God does not change. Why does the Mormon Church constantly embrace change?. God is timeless. What he revealed to us in the scriptures thousands of years ago, holds true today.
The Mormon Church and it’s leaders have to make constant changes because they can’t keep members enthusiast about their gospel. These changes are often in conflict with revelations that were previously given to former church presidents.
In John 12:32, Jesus said, that “And if I be lifted up from the earth, I will draw all men unto me.” Praise God, Glorify God and Share the Good News of the Gospel. If you that, you will never have to worry about keeping people interested incoming to church
