Mormonad By Small and Simple Things “The small and simple things we are taught in the scriptures and by living prophets … result in powerful spiritual uplift and growth.” — Dallin H. Oaks
Ephesians 4:14 “That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive.”
As everyone is well aware, the Church went out its way to publicize, and change everything there is referring to the word ‘Mormon’. They went so far as to change the name of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, and all their URL’s. You can read about this in Melissa’s article, DECEPTIVE MOVE IN MORMON CHURCH NAME PREFERENCE, she posted the day after their big announcement in August 2018.
With that in mind, we were rather surprised (cough-cough) to come across an article in the latest LDS periodical, New Era, on March 25, 2019. As you can see in its title, there’s no hint they have a problem using the word Mormon when it suits them.
Isn’t it contradictory not to change the name of the monthly posters inside their publications? The ‘Mormonad’ posters didn’t seem to take the hit like everything else in Mormonism.
The sad part about all this is the intended target. Children.
Pray for those who read their diatribe to have an uncluttered mind and hold fast to Jesus who isn’t a God of confusion like the Mormon god reveals himself to be!
With Love in Christ;
Michelle
The ‘Mormon’ God changes His mind a lot regarding His doctrine and changes His mind regarding how His Church is literally presented to the world. For example, the change to the title page to the Book of Mormon should not be changed because Joseph Smith said that the title page is part of the gold plates and that ‘it is a literal translation taken….of….the book of plates….this title page is not by any means a modern composition either of mine or any other man’s who has lived or does live in this generation’ ( see Times and Season, vol 3, No 24, p, 943 ).
The Mormon Church not following its own rules. Have you ever been to a Mormon Church dinner or holiday party (Christmas party, Thanksgiving dinner, singles lunch etc)? Typically, huge amounts of meat are served at these parties. DC 89:12,13, clearly states that “meat is to only be eaten during times of winter, cold or famine.” Never I have been asked about meat consumption during a temple recommend interview. If, however, I admit to drinking tea or coffee or use tobacco, I can not be granted a temple recommend.
Does it make sense to you guys, that a Mormon can be a huge meat eater, 50 pounds overweight, never exercise and be granted a temple recommend. However, the member that always eats well (sparingly) , exercises daily, is in great physical health, but admits to drinking a cup of tea or coffee occasionally, can not be granted admission into the temple?
Another thing that comes to mind. Several years ago, during General Conference, one of the General Authorities (Monson??) directed that electronic devices will not be allowed during sacrament meetings. That directive was totally and immediately ignored by members.
