The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has seen its fair share of changes throughout time.
We’ve seen prophets who were all but silent in their tenure, which of course means Joe Smith and Brigham Young who were both endowed with mouths like no others.
We’ve also seen LDS prophets who barely made a peep. The one in charge today, (Russell Nelson), is anything but quiet.
Mr. Nelson’s priorities are shaping up to be quite the scene. He seems to be hung up on everyone using the name of the Church properly. This scenario began last year and has continued on through 2019.
Last year we also saw a dissolution of the Visiting Teaching Messages, and the rearrangement of their priesthood. This year they’re backtracking on excluding kids of gay people, and now we’re witnessing record numbers of people leaving. The first thing that came to mind was, ‘oops’. Apparently the Mormon god didn’t foresee the ramifications of what it’d mean to exclude innocent children from his kingdom.
This is what happens when you try to hide evil. Eventually truth prevails.
Here are the numbers for 2019. As you’ll see, the only news that remained the same was the downward trend of their ‘inspired works’.
Above all else, please, pray that those who are actively involved, will stand up, walk out, and accept the Jesus of the Bible as their true Savior!
With Love in Christ;
Michelle

This is the lowest net increase in church membership in 40 years (1978) when it was only 194,000.
2018 was the year with the largest number of membership records ever removed by the Church in a single year.
According to ldschurchgrowthblogspot.com ‘membership records added to the Church in 2018 through convert baptisms and increase in children of record (usually children born to parents who are Church members) was 336,434’.

The disparaging numbers means 140,868 names removed from church rosters.
Again, there’s a huge problem in their math!
According to Matt Martinich from ldschurchgrowthblogspot, ‘the Church has removed 100,000 or more membership records a year since 2014’.

Any statistics the church releases are likely not very accurate. In my opinion, the church would be hesitant to announce anything that does not put the church in a good light. I do believe that the many changes that Pres Nelson has implemented are being made in hopes that the exodus of members will somehow slow down and that many of inactive members will come back to church. The biggest problem the church has, is that many of it’s members no longer trust the General Authorities to tell them the truth
It is not only the statistical numbers that show a huge “problem with the flock”, but it is the decreased spirituality and financial contribution of those “devout” who stay and tout the propaganda as true. Not only are numbers down, belief is down. The culture is strong especially to the non-thinkers so one has to ask, “Who are these people who are staying in this exposed church?”.
This church has become so weakened by the exposure of its lies and deception, that “they” are now trying a bigger lie: ads that fool you into clicking on the site, because the ad makes it look like a protestant church….oops, you have been led down the garden path to Mormonism, to a Mormon church which drapes itself in Jesus, with its lies about Jesus and women and children! “Jesus of Mormonism” bears little resemblance to Jesus of the New Testament.
President Nelson does not know what consternation and agitation his latest decrees have caused “the faithful”. The unhappiness is audible.
I pray that what soldiermp says is true about many of the members not trusting the GAs. My still-believing daughter embraces everything Russell puts out there……it’s continuing revelation, you know! I pray, I pray, I pray that many more ‘mormons’ have open eyes to the truth of God’s Word and not this LDS shell game.
Hey there Sandra!
We’re still praying for you and your dear family! I know how complicated and difficult this is – each time I speak w/ my mother it seems to get worse…sigh…
Your comment reminded me of how long it took me to finally get the nerve to leave Mormonism. I would imagine there are doubts in her head, but they go unspoken so as not to stir up trouble.
How long did you doubt before you left, and what problems did you see in the Church that caused you to leave?
In Him,
Michelle
What??? The one “true” church is loosing members? Say it isn’t so. Now the missionaries can’t say the Christian church was ever in an apostasy because, it sounds like the one “true” church is now in a state of apostasy.
GOD DOESN’T CHANGE. He does not acquiesce to social/ political correctness. He can’t be the same yesterday, today, and forever, and continue through “prophets” to change his mind at every whim to please man’s sinful will. How can the one “true” church keep changing and yet still be true?
Soldiermp, you said a few days ago that you are inactive, maybe you need to be 140,868 and one. Keep reading your Bible for God’s truth. And Sandra, as always continued prayers for you and your daughter and family.
The following comment came in from Sandra Walker. Her comment landed on an image page, and not the article. Yikes!
In reply to lifeafterministry.
Truth be told, I was not one of those brave souls who could see the lie and left. I did something I shouldn’t have done years ago and I went to the bishop to confess. They held a court which I attended and determined I needed to be excommunicated. What a blessing…..the door to freedom. My poor father was my bishop and he didn’t realize what a favor he did me. I would like to add that we were very close before he died, so that was a good thing, too. Once out of the church, I started attending a Christian church but it took fifteen years before I was ready to be baptised as a follower of the Lord. Mormonism is REALLY difficult to shake but His Word is so rich and such a light that I am thrilled by it and assured of His mercy and grace in the life of this sinner! Praising, praising, praising. Thank you for this ministry you serve and thanks for your prayers. My granddaughter is on a mission in Kentucky. We live in NC but her mission president said we could not visit her…….they have their rules, you know! I pray for her daily, too, because Micah Wilder found the truth while he was on his mission.

Hi Sandra…once you’re apart of the “Body of Christ” , no court can ever take that away from you…you are His. How awesome is that? Great story, thank you for sharing.
How is the church defining an “active member”? One meeting a month and no calling? Of the nearly 16,000,000 members of record, how many are participants? How many attend the temple? Thank you.
