April 10 — Obedience. Acts 5:29; “Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men.”

To whom does your loyalty go to first? Is it God, or man? When a prophet, or apostle, tells members they must hear the prophet’s voice and obey, what’s next? Ask your Mormon friend what they think of their statement. It wasn’t made back in the ‘40’s, nor was it mandated by Brigham Young. This comment came from the LDS apostle, Robert D. Hales at a General Conference just 14 yrs ago. Ask why this man pointed only to their prophets, and not to the Lord.

“Hear the Prophet’s Voice and Obey”; “If we follow the counsel given by the prophets, we can have a life in mortality where we do not bring upon ourselves unnecessary pain and self-destruction. … All the words of counsel from the prophets of all generations have been given so that we may be strengthened and then be able to lift and strengthen others.” — Robert D. Hales
The comment by Robert D Hales is very similar to comments made by cult leaders everywhere. Listen to our leader and nobody else
.”While they promise them liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption.for of WHOM a man is overcome, the same is brought into bondage.” (2 Peter 2:19). FOR WHOM A MAN IS OVERCOME…Prophet anybody????
Amen to that brother! It’s so sad they don’t see the stark reality…
