May 20 – Circular reasoning isn’t from God! Prov. 29:11; “A fool uttereth all his mind: but a wise man keepeth it in till afterwards.”
_____
This verse from the Bible is proof that it’s best to just keep quiet until you have all the information you need to make sound statements. I always tell my kids they have two ears and one mouth; use them accordingly.

“How to know oneself – No man can know himself unless he knows God, and he cannot know God unless He knows himself. 16:75” Discourses of Brigham Young, p. 653. [The reference for this can be found on p. 426 in the non-electronic version.]
“How to know oneself – No man can know himself unless he knows God, and he cannot know God unless He knows himself”.
WOW!!! Best quote ever. That is the epitome of circular reasoning, right there. And they named a university after him.
Now THAT’s funny!
That quote from Brigham Young sounds a lot like some of our political figures today. A huge problem with Mormons, even today, is that rather than use good old common sense and a willingness to think on their own, they rely on the voices of their (Prophets???) to tell them how to think and what to say. Too many Mormons do not have the ability to think outside the box, to search Biblical scriptures on their own to learn the real TRUTH (John 14:6).
“These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, that they received the Word with all readiness of mind and SEARCHED THE SCRIPTURES DAILY, ON WHETHER THOSE THING WERE SO.” (Acts 17:11) I wish the Mormon people would read the Bible daily to compare what their Prophets (leaders) say and how it compares to what the Bible says.
