2 Nephi 3:7-9 “Yea, Joseph truly said: Thus saith the Lord unto me: A choice seer will I raise up out of the fruit of thy loins; and he shall be esteemed highly among the fruit of thy loins. And unto him will I give commandment that he shall do a work for the fruit of thy loins, his brethren, which shall be of great worth unto them, even to the bringing of them to the knowledge of the covenants which I have made with thy fathers. 8 And I will give unto him a commandment that he shall do none other work, save the work which I shall command him. And I will make him great in mine eyes; for he shall do my work. 9 And he shall be great like unto Moses, whom I have said I would raise up unto you, to deliver my people, O house of Israel.”
JST Genesis 50:29, 33 “And I will make him great in mine eyes, for he shall do my work; and he shall be great like unto him whom I have said I would raise up unto you, to deliver my people, O house of Israel, out of the land of Egypt; for a seer will I raise up to deliver my people out of the land of Egypt; and he shall be called Moses. And by this name he shall know that he is of thy house; for he shall be nursed by the king’s daughter, and shall be called her son. 33 And that seer will I bless, and they that seek to destroy him shall be confounded; for this promise I give unto you; for I will remember you from generation to generation; and his name shall be called Joseph, and it shall be after the name of his father; and he shall be like unto you; for the thing which the Lord shall bring forth by his hand shall bring my people unto salvation.”
Isaiah 43:10-11 “Ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD, and my servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me. 11 I, even I, am the LORD; and beside me there is no saviour.”
The LDS references above have to be some of the worst things Joe Smith ever prophesied. It wasn’t bad enough he preached a different gospel (BoM), but he also rewrote God’s word and inserted his own name into it.
These are not the words of a true Christian! If the two LDS passages above aren’t enough to convince my people Joe Smith pretended to be the Savior, nothing ever will.
You’ll want to take note their brazen display of the JST (Joseph Smith Translation) can be found on their own website. It’s so evil they don’t make excuses for it, nor do they try to hide the lies. Please pray Jesus will open their eyes to see the truth!
With Love in Christ;

Is the Mormon church using the JST Bible? I was never exposed to it while I was a member. He actually added verses?? What a contemptible creature. Didn’t John the Baptist say the Lord must increase and he (John) had to decrease. There is no hint of that humility in Joseph…..so evil.
The LDS doesn’t fully use the JST, since the RLDS holds the rights to it. However, they do often cite it in their commentaries.
Yes, Smith added thousands of extra words and verses.
Hey there Sandra! 🙂
Yeah, when I was LDS we NEVER used it. Ever.
The first time I heard of active members using it is when a couple of missionaries showed up on my doorstep and used it. To say I was surprised would be an understatement!
From everything I’ve seen when I’m researching & looking for references, it’s a rare day when Salt Lake uses it in their talks, or presentations.
Over the years of doing ministry my heart has sunk more than once upon the discovery of things like this.
I just cannot imagine how the Lord must feel.

Is it true that the Mormon church believes that Joseph Smith will stand at the veil, next to Jesus, to grant entry into God’s kingdom? I have not heard this talked about in church. If it is true, the teaching has likely been ignored, sort of like Kolab

I don’t know about Smith standing at the veil, but they do indeed say Smith is required for salvation:
