June 26 – He removed our transgression. Psalm 103:12; “As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.”
_____
This verse denotes the largest measure of grace available to us. Barnes’ Notes on the Bible has stayed on my mind, and brought comfort to me many times already. It says God has put our sins far from us, and now we are ‘safe’. What an awesome God we have! What a tremendous load has been taken from this weary soul!
If you do nothing else today, please, be sure you share this with yourself. Take it, and let God’s mercy soak into your being. You’ll be a better witness for Him when you share this beautiful news with the Mormon you know. It’ll be an almost impossible situation to think upon for the Mormon when they’ve been told forgiveness is dependent upon their obedience and compliance to the ordinances and laws of their gospel. The lie they’ve been told is as far from truth, as the Christian’s sin is with God’s forgiveness. Also remember King David’s cry in Psalm 3. If we fret ourselves all the time, we’ll never be able to accept what it says in vs. 3; ‘…Thou o Lord art a shield for me, my glory, and the lifter of up of mine head.’

Articles of Faith, p. 90; “…personal sins. As these sins are the result of individual acts, it is just that forgiveness for them should be conditioned on individual compliance with prescribed requirements,–“obedience to the laws and ordinances of the gospel.” – James Talmage
It’s a beautiful thing isn’t it? Our God is AWESOME!!!
That He is! Even after 25 yrs I still can’t believe He saved me, of all people! PTL!
“But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities, the chastisement of our peace was upon him and with his stripes we are healed,” (Isaiah 53:5)..
Picture yourself at the foot of the cross, looking up at Jesus as he was suffering and preparing to die. As you look up into our saviors bruised face, he looks down at you, calls you by your first name and says” I am doing this for you
I’ve actually said as much to Mormons and I get a blank stare. It’s utterly heartbreaking.
Almost two weeks ago I was at the last annual ” Miracle Pageant” at the Manti Temple. Friday, I decided to watch the “spectacle”. After which, I asked a few people what they thought ??? When I was asked in return, I replied…”I’d never been to a Christian event that didn’t focus on Jesus and Him crucified”. And I got the blank stare. It just made me sooo sad. They just don’t get it.😔
