July 26 – Are you good enough? Mark 10:18 “And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God.”

How many items are on your list of ‘must-dos’, and who determined what should and shouldn’t be there? Will the items on the list make you pure?
Oswald Chambers once said we usually begin trusting our ignorance by calling it innocence, and then trusting that by calling it purity. However, when Jesus comes into scenario we become incensed at His indictment. Taking upon ourselves the name of Christ always entails being crucified with Him. Are you?
Introduce a Mormon to the idea they must be crucified to Him because this usually isn’t in their vocabulary. Their works are always performed by leaning on their own strength, instead of handing it all over to the Lord.

General Conference, ‘Eyes to See and Ears to Hear,’ October 2015 “We do not have to be perfect, but we need to be good and getting better. We need to strive to live the plain and simple truths of the gospel. If we take upon us the name of Christ, act with faith in Him to repent of our sins, keep His commandments, and always remember Him, we will receive the companionship of the Holy Ghost through the mercy and grace of Jesus Christ.” – Kim B. Clark
Mormons do not view the Blood of Christ to be sufficient for eternal life in the presence of God. Mormons always have a Things To-Do list that is never ending. Mormons believe that in order to receive God’s blessings, there are things you must do (church callings, full tithe payer, volunteer for anything and everything. It seems like most of the time I went to church, there would be a sign up sheet floating around seeking names/ volunteers to do some project. The Mormon Church demands that people serve the needs of the church, first and foremost.
