Liahona, ‘Lord, I Believe,’ May 2013, 94 “When those moments come and issues surface, the resolution of which is not immediately forthcoming, hold fast to what you already know and stand strong until additional knowledge comes. … This is a divine work in process…so please don’t hyperventilate if from time to time issues arise that need to be examined, understood, and resolved. They do and they will. In this Church, what we know will always trump what we do not know”. — Jeffrey R. Holland
2 Timothy 3:14-17 “But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them; 15 And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. 16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 17 That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.”
Mr. Holland’s insight is ill-advised. He obviously used part of the Bible to twist the meaning of how Christians are to wait on the Lord. He knows all too well there was no evidence to be found validating the BoM.
Furthermore, Mormon doctrines have always contradicted themselves making it impossible for members to reconcile. If they’re to wait around for something to be resolved, they’ll be sorely disappointed.
His statement, ‘this is a divine work in progress’ is our clue it’s not from the Lord God of the Bible!
I was just studying the effects of baptism and was reminded of what it says in Hebrews 10:10 — “By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.”
Oh beloved, the Mormon gospel can’t be from the Lord based on what it says in Hebrews! Be sure to pray for the dear Mormon people who believe there’s still more to be revealed and share His word with them!
With Love in Christ;

When Jeff Holland tells people not to hyperventilate over unresolved church issues, this is really Mormon speak for: “Don’t leave the church
because of unresolved issues that put the church in an unflattering light.When he speaks of waiting for additional knowledge to come, he is essentially saying that the Bible doesn’t have all the answers. The real truth will be found among the General Authorities, who will create an excuse, a cover, a justification for whatever happened in the church that has given members pause.. Just give our apologists time to come up with some really creative reasons why “All is Well in Zion. The more messages I read from church authorities, the more I am convinced they are in panic mode over the loss of active members. Remember, fewer members, less revenue
